Hi all,
I would like to come from Hamburg to Rotterdam to see the "RUHR N" outbound from Europoort.
But I get no information at wich time she will leave the EECV. No information from the terminal, no information from dirkzwager and no information from the agency...
can anybody help ????
Thanks a lot & best regards from Hamburg

Ships like the RUHR N do not run to a schedule. It's likely that her departure time will be confirmed only a few hours before she actually leaves and that probably explains why you receive no information. Therefore, if you are coming all the way from Hamburg to Rotterdam, you might be disappointed. Good luck anyway.

I wish I could come see her too, I love that ship but unfortunately I'm too far away, if you do manage to catch her, please take many pictures since it's a shame there are so few of her on the net.
Good luck.

According our pilot data base site. The Daniel N must come on her place.
ETD of the Ruhr N 25th may 01:00.
So night time. No change for pictures.

Hi Frans,
Thanks a lot for this Information. Is it possible, that you keep me informed if there are any changes or delays? I think at 05:00 hrs in the Morning it is possible to see her outbound ;D. If there is a little hope to catch her, I will try it.
Thanks and best regards from Hamburg

Hi Frans,
Thanks for your help. My latest Information is, that she will leave on May 29.
Is it possible for you, to have a closer look on her departure time? It is not so easy to get some accurate informations from here (Hamburg).
Thanks again and Best regards

Hi Jan,
Here is the phone nr. of Port Control Rotterdam: 00 31 10 2522400.
They are well aware of all vessel's movements but officially not allowed to discuss this with shipping enthousiasts. So it'll depend on your diplomacy as well as the mood of the guy answering the phone whether you'll get the information you need.
Good luck and tschuess !

Hi Jan,
thanks for your help. I wrote an e-mail to the Hamburg Office of NEU, but as expected I get no response from them. But I will try it on Friday with a direct call :-)

The vessel is berthed at the beginning of the Rozenburg "Landtong", easily accesible by car.
You can even see her after a brisk walk arriving by train to Maassluis, and taking the Rozenburg ferry. You can approach her upto 50 mtrs. The view is unobstructed. I made pictures of the "Berge Fjord" there a couple of days ago.

During the night the vessel shifted and now the Ruhr N is berthed at the EECV terminal, discharging a balance of 6000 mt. ETD tomorrow noon.
According to the agents the orders are to proceed to Brazil to load for China. It may be possible she'll proceed to Chittagong from there, but by no means sure. Let's see. Meanwhile if you'd like to take pictures here you should rush ....
Brgds,
Rob.
