i have seen a USA imigration record recently that indicates point of entry as Port MAG, does anyone know of this port, or if it is short for a port starting with Mag

In UN/LOCODE MAG means Magnolia (don't know exactly which one).

Port Mag =  Port Magadan in Madadan, Russia?  That is what a Google came up with.
