she has 3 bow thruster, at least 2 or 3 stern thrusters, twin screws ?
when one sees the speed fwd and how long they try to push the bow off ( above 4-5 kn fwd the bow thrusters are almost useless) and then of course after the crash fwd the stern swings unstoppable in, the pilot and the capt really must have been on coffee break at the wrong time !!!!!!

There was quite a wind blowing on the starboard beam (note flag on the jackstaff). Given the windage of this large, slab-sided ship I doubt the the thwartships thrusters could handle it. Did she have tug assistance? I suspect not. The these days cruise lines try to keep costs down by minimising the use of tugs when berthing and unberthing and only use them in bad weather or if the port authority insists on tugs being used

Then the Pilot and Capt were seemingly on a longer coffee break already when they did not take that
into the Master/Pilot exchange communication when the pilot boarded the ship. !!!!

As for tugs usage, the is today standard avoid them where possible, for me on a handy-size bulker in most ports it is anyhow compulsory to use two, often mandated by draft and sometimes anyhow as most bulkers
do not have thrusters in the first place.
