Title: English Channel Ship spotting trip 30th June
Post by: captain Paul on April 25, 2015, 09:56:26 AM
I hope this is the correct place to post this, would any one like to send the day watching the Ships in the English channel shipping lanes 15 miles south of Brighton seeing ships at full speed under way?.we can get very close so i am sure a good camera person could get some cracking shots .I would think you would see 30 to 60 ships in a 7 hour trip of all shapes and sizes. We would need groups of around 10 persons to spread the cost

I have had some feedback from the forum and we are going to put on a English channel spotting trip Tuesday 30th june.we would depart 0730 from brighton marina and return 1500 its about 1 hour each to the end of the west bound shipping lane.we will spend the day getting up close to the ships heading west and get some great pictures and video.i have AIS on the boat and VHF so i can advise the ships what we are doing coming close to them.we would need minimum 6 persons to go @
