anyone know where she is or why she isn't showing up on any trackers? there seems a shortage or the 2 big ice breakers with the terry fox in refit
-
I heard it was being refit but I don't know where.
-
they sure picked a hell of a bad time to refit both the heavy icebreakers .. it don't make sense they know that they have work winter time
-
I found a tender document stating that the CCGS S LOUIS ST LAURENT will be refit in St John's until May 31st, 2013 at pier 17 and pier 11 for the remainder of the refit.
The next bit of information I found was that it had left St John's and heading toward Argentia in November, 2013.
-
it don't make sense to have her tied up when she is needed out doing what she was designed to do best that is breaking ice.. but who am I to know what is going trough the mids of others
-
CBC News reported yesterday, that the Louis will be coming out early next week.

Thank you sailorman78 for the update.
I area die home last night. It took 12 hours and we had the CCGS EDWARD CORNWALLIS escorting us. In the end, we could have done it on our own but because of the rules and regulations, an icebreaker must escort when there is ice.
