Back in 2021 Longship ordered 2 vessels at Veka tbn LONGBEACH & LONGBAY (6000dwt) for delivery 2022.

Is anyone aware if these have been cancelled noting VEKA 758 / 759 are yet to be delivered.

In the meantime Longship have just confirmed an order (Feb 2024) for two GS Eco-Freighter 3700 ships at GS Yard in Waterhuizen.

They also have 4 x 8600dwt nb's on order from Atlas Shipyard in Turkey.

Its was reported in the press in early 2023 that Willie's having secured a 14th vessel for their fleet (Voornedijk now CELTIC ENDEAVOUR) were looking for a 15th vessel with possible delivery in the second half of 2023.

Is anyone aware if a further vessel can be expected?

The CORNELIGUE was noted aground near Moerdijk 3 June 2022 after her lines parting at the yard she was laid up at (since March 2021).

Can anyone confirm if she has since been scrapped or photographed?

Does anyone have a local update regarding the Corneligue (imo 7711969, ex Isis) laying in Rotterdam? After her failed sale and detention in Feb 2019 is her fate still pending with the local authorities or has she been moved for potential scrapping?

Any info welcomed, thank you.

Regarding the mv Corneligue (imo 7711969, Togo flagged) ex Isis and the mv Burhou I (imo 7726897, Pan flagged) I note after their sale by Great Glen Shipping (Scotland) mid and late 2018 they have now seen movement from lay up in the Rotterdam area?

Burhou I was noted passing Gibraltar east bound 02/04/19?, and the Isis (now Corneligue) towards the end February had plans for sailing for further trading in the Caribs / South America with a destination of Paramaribo noted?

Any news here welcome.

Thank you all!

For those like myself who follow the UK shortsea market thought maybe this could be a good chat to start in addition to others for sharing renamings, sales and owner developments within the UK Coastal scene.

Comments and info welcome!

Good day all,

I'm looking at compiling a list of UK based short sea owners that have sadly ceased trading in recent years, aside the likes of Union Transport, Ramsey, Coastal Bulk (Lapthorn) etc, since 2005 which other UK based owners have ceased trading such as Absolute Shipping currently in Oct / Nov?

Thanks, open to comments!
