Hi,
is Evelyn Maersk a sister to the Emma Maersk?
I thought I read somewhere that a fire broke out on board whilst she was built.

There are a total of 8 sisters in the series. I did hear a story about Estelle being another 2 rows longer @ around 426m, but apparently it isn't. Whether others will be I don't know (thus not making 8 identical ships of course). The fire was obviously fully dealt with at the time.

Hi
The fire was on the Emma, the first one.

I will be going on Evelyn when it leaves Lindo and I have not heard that it should leave today! I have all the time heard that it will be in the end of March. I will try to find a more exact date.

Evelyn Maersk departure from the yard has been
postponed to Friday 16 March 07.00.
She will pass "Gabet" approx. 09.00 according
to Lindo's website www.oss.dk

Hey there guys!
I just thought i'd mention that the chances of seeing ships grow in length within the first batch of E-boats is very slim... The problem is that the dry dock is simply not long enough!

As written on the front page of www.oss.dk, Evelyn will depart at 0700 hours tomorrow. I will upload some pictures as soon as possible.

Hi all
anybody has the particular of Evelyn?
is it the same as Emma?

Hi,
She is the same class as "Emma Maersk" and her particulars as detailed below:
Name:

Have just seen a report that Evelyn Maersk has had an engine breakdown while on sea trials - does anyone have any more information on this?
-
Apparently it is nothing too dramatic. Tradewinds reported that during the seatrials a bearing had burnt out. The bearing is located within the unit which provides the pressure for the fuel to reach the engine, and it needed to be replaced.
Repairs started on Sunday and sea trials should be able to resume on Thursday afternoon and will last about a week.
Best regards

I heard the size of a dock in Lindo with 415 meters in length, 90 meters in width. If this information is right, they cannot construct a ship more than 420 meters. There is a rumor of "405 meters in length, 23 lines of containers", too.

Just a litle funny comment.
