Thanks for the news Brett. I hadn't heard about it and was surprised when I saw her arrival scheduled for Wellington last week.

I notice "DESTINE" is due to arrive in Wellington today. I'd only ever seen her as a bunkering tanker especially around Circular Quay, Sydney. Has she been sold? I haven't heard any news about that. She is staying in Wellington for 10 days - again interesting. Does anyone know what's up?

That should read "AS NADIA" IMO: 9321897 - the former "NORDSPRING" of K.E. Oldendorff (2007).

Thank you, Pieter.

Seems like I didn't try very hard.

On the previous version of this site it was possible to view the list of all the comments I had posted about individual vessels. The list was created from latest comment first, through to earliest last. I found it handy.
I haven't found this facility available to me on this, the latest version; I may have overlooked the means of finding this information. I'm not sure.
Would someone point me in the right direction, if it is possible, to retrieve this list, please.

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

There are photos here on shipspotting of:
PRAHSU (IMO 5283499) under the names of "KOHIMA" (Elder Dempster Line), "KALAW" (Elder Dempster Line and Henderson Line) and as "PAPAGEORGIS" (Naves Maritime, Greece)

http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/search.php?query=Kohima&x=25&y=9

and "SALAGA", not PALAGA, (IMO:5307568) under the name "BEI HAI 5" (Chinese Govt.)

Help and Advice / Re: Can you identify this ship

There is a photo of her on site as "ODER".

I think it's time to remove the NEW! from "NEW! View the summary page for this ship"; but I would retain the red for emphasis.

I'm finding it is taking up to a minute to load a photo after selecting it. Also using Firefox.

I'm probably one of the culprits when it comes to spelling and IMO mistakes; but I must add that I delete the comment as soon as it is corrected. And they are often acted upon quickly.

Any corrections that relate to classifications and building dates (of which there many), I use the correction tool, which now works well.

The site is an international treasure and the more accurate it is, the greater its worth and respect.

Site related news, functions and modules / Re: CAPTCHA issue
« on: June 05, 2018, 11:25:20 PM »
This CAPTCHA issue has become near impossible. I've attempted twenty times to send a message about correcting ship details but have not been successful. I fill the box with V1 SHUTDOWN and this has worked after five or six attempts in the past, if you're patient enough.
I have to say that the need for this "hurdle" to communication never seemed necessary in the first place.
Does anyone else communicate with the administration using the reporting tool? If so, how do you manage without masses of frustration?
Is there any other way of sending a message that avoids this arguably pointless step in the procedure?
I have been kindly notified that the IT administrator/s have been investigating and I appreciate that. I wonder if they could put some thought into circumventing the whole CAPTCHA process and so make the communication much easier.
Thanks.

The CAPTCHA problem is getting more difficult. When the old version stopped, I would type V1 SHUTDOWN in the dialog box and the message would immediately be sent, and acknowledged.
In the last couple of weeks I'm having to repeat this process three or four times before confirmation is received to say the message has reached admin.
Does anyone have a better suggestion about what to do, or if there is a work-around that would solve the problem?
Thanks
Peter

I sent some messages re corrections to vessel data two days ago and they have been actioned already.
At the CAPTCHA box, I simply enter V1 SHUTDOWN, then send the message and immediately receive a message of acknowledgement from the site.

Cheers
