Sinisa was a little bit faster...  :o

Wow, what a timing. On Feb. 02 the shipspotting site made it: 2.000.000 pics. Congratulations!

This is the time to thank all members, who kept and still keep this always interesting site alive and running. I hope this will go on and I'm waiting for the next 1.000.000 pics...  ;)

Yes, well done to 2,000,000 in the database but the 2,000,000 upload honour goes to Chris Howell with http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2000000.
Discrepancy is probable due to deletions over the years

just to calm down the enthusiasm, the latest photo uploaded was already number 2,400,000 something. This means that 400000 pictures have either been deleted by admins or have been withdrawn by posters (by canelling their accounts for instance).

At about the same time this milestone was achieved, I uploaded my 20,000th photo on the site. Roughly some 1% of the photos are my own. Not bad for someone who has been an avid supporter of the site.

Cheers to all the members who make Shipspotting.com work as well as it does!
