Title: Russian ships Po R
Post by: Colwyn Grace on November 11, 2015, 07:41:20 PM
Whilst rummaging in the attic I found about 200 slides of ships taken in or near Goole in the late 80's early 90's. I have identified all of them bar three, these being Angayafold IMO 7027679, Andrey Ivanov IMO 7038111, and Belomorye IMO 7038147. Does anyone know where these three ships were registered at that time? They were all Russian flagged, hammer & sickle on the funnel, and were engaged in the timber trade. Thanx in advance and anticipation.

If I'm not mistaken they were,

Andrey Ivanov - Arkhangelsk
Angayafold - Tallinn
Belomorye - Arkhangelsk

If I'm not mistaken, the correct spelling is ANGYALFOLD, named after the Hungarian builder's yard.

You are correct, Eddie.

Her original name was Angyalfold, then Gladiator, then Ikaria, then Phoenix I and finally Ostria.
