Would anyone know as the ship is being held until recovery costs are met how long this will take?
As a railway modeller in one container is a shipment from Dapol of O gauge coaches and DMUs for the UK.

Thanks

Alan

David,
Thanks for the links very interesting.
So who pays for the repairs when in this case the owners are in dire financial straits?

So will it be checked over to see if there is any underwater damage?

Apparently the Ryde has been pulled onto her side for scrapping to begin, can anyone here photograph this sad end to a once popular paddler

« on: March 22, 2007, 08:39:41 PM »
Hi,

Although I live in Devon there appears to be a total lack of news about the Napoli now, anyone know how the salvaging of the containers is progressing and what will happen when that is complete

Cheers

Alan :-D

Shipping News and information / Ekaterini G
« on: March 03, 2007, 11:31:21 PM »
Hi,

In the Wrecks & Relics are some photos of an ex Liberty ship beached off the Great Sitkin islands called Ekaterini G.

Is this the only surviving Liberty other than the two preserved ones?

Regards

Alan :-)

Jim,

According to  a member of Titanic-Titanic .com I have copied below two of many emails on the subject.

3/10/06 - the hull of the QE remains in the mud only the super was cut off a survey of the hull takes place at the end of the summer with a view to raising
10/2/07 - survey shows intact in the mud, survey done by Seawise Salvage using a local diving company

Any ideas

Cheers

Alan
