Following this vessel's incident and subsequent detention at Falmouth earlier this year, does anyone have any recent news or photos of KUZMA MININ?

The vessel was sold at auction by the Admiralty Marshal on 5/4/2019 and, according to AIS as of today remains anchored in Carrick Roads transmitting as KUZMA MININ, Russian flag. However, according to Equasis, the ship has been renamed "Energy Annabelle" under Niue flag. Strangely, Equasis does not list KUZMA MININ in the vessel's name history.

If anyone can shed some light on this apparent (and somewhat dubious) change of name and flag, it would be much appreciated.

IHS Sea-web shows change of name, flag and ownership. The sales price is cited as $1,017,120. She has also been disclassed by RMRS and listed as "total loss" as of 18 December 2018.

Based on the above information, I'd put my money on a one-way ticket to the sunny beaches of South Asia, but then again noting the new owner's (Compass Energy Pte Ltd) other fleet she might be up for a more interesting future as some kind of process platform.

I do have all that information, but thanks anyway. I was hoping that someone local to Falmouth might have recently spotted her and can confirm one way or another regarding her apparent name and flag change.

According to "Hansa" the Bulker will be scrapped.

Thanks - although it's been widely reported that she's been sold for scrap, my industry sources say that might not be true. This is why I'm trying to get to the bottom of this apparent name change :-)

Reference the questions about the above vessel, as a resident of Falmouth I can confirm that Kuzma Minin remains at anchor in Carrick Roads, Falmouth, as I write. She still carries her original name and Russian registry - the only change being that the Polar  Bear emblem was painted out on her funnel a while ago (see the picture I posted on this site on 26th March).

Hi, as a Falmouth local I can confirm she carries a new name.
Renamed ENERGY ANNABELLE
