Good day from the south of germany,
Does anybody know a open source software for modellingships in a CAD System? My plan is to model the ship I sailed on, so i can walk through.
Thanks for ideas, suggestions

Delftship - http://www.delftship.net/delftship/index.php/delftship-free
Is a pretty good piece of software for making the hull, although it takes some getting used to.
Gmax - http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
Is based on 3DSmax, and is used in the games industry. Again, it takes some getting used to.
Sketchup - http://www.sketchup.com/
Is the easiest to use of the three, and can produce some very good results. If you're a "novice" I'd choose this one, as its very easy to use and you can "jump straight in".

Hi i think this information will help someone who is looking to get 3d design modelling services for ship building. We have consulted one of the company named Yranstorbraaten in the list mentioned below and had good experience with services, and other list of companies providing 3 d modelling are also mentioned in the url.

You can log onto the website shipsmodel and get the relevant results from there. Just add co.in in front of the address. I think you will get satisfactory results out here.
