I just notice that is not possible any more to search a photographer in the search engine.

Is it an error or has there be a change in policy?

I was using this to find my own picture of a specific ship.

Talking about diffent catecories.

I think the name Heavy lift vessel is also not quite correct.
I think it's beter to call it Heavy load vessel.
as most of this type of ships doesn't have a crane to lift something.

According Ghana web tanker Alice spilts in two near Tema. see:

This looks an old European inland tanker to me.
I know some old inland vessels sold to Nigeria and Ghana in the past.
According Dutch rules they are not allowed to go to sea.

Does some one recognise this vessel? Is it really an inland vessel?

I get today the message:
Error gettinc comments: Got error 28 from storage engine

does more members have this problem?

I'm having some trouble uploading new photos

An errow is displayed on my screen as well phot doesn't pump up.
Thumbnail is also not working always and when working large photo is with error.

does other members have the same problem??

I'm working with windows 7 and google chrome

After see has been towed as casco to Doordrecht area (near Rotterdam) in 2010 see has been laid up since.

Today I passed here see was laying in Rotterdam, IJsselmonde with the hatchcover been removed en all stantions disappeared.

I can't reach the tab 'COMMENTS TO MY PHOTOS'
under my PHOTO futher MY PHOTO.

I get the message: Error gettinc comments: Got error 28 from storage engine

Does anyone have the same problem ??

I though ships carrying their IMO number their whole lifetime.

Our old pilotcutter Capalle IMO 8332459 has been changed into a yacht and years later renamed in Capella C and changed thier imo to 1001130

Are there more ships which changed imo number

I made a picture of utility vessel Jif Breizh.

The layout of the vessel is comply different than other picture on the site.
Did the vessel under gone a major refit/remake? or is it a different vessel with the same name???

I noticed that once uploaded Ro/Ro vessel names are changed in a name with full capital letters.

Why are all the names of Ro/Ro vessel changed in the (ugly) capital letters ??

Shipping News and information / Reefers to be scrapped

I've just been on board one the Spring ship from Seatrade.
All 5 Spring vessel will be with draw from their trade.

Most probably will end up on the scrapyard soon.

As the ships are due to dry-dock next year and refrigeration unit is still working on Freon 22 (R22). Freon 12 and 22 will discontinued in 2015 according new rules.

The ships involved:
Spring Bob
Spring Bear
Spring Panda
Spring Deli
Spring Dragon
The Spring Tiger is already being scrapped.

Think many more (nice looking) reefer ships will end up on the scrapyard next two years  .
