Help and Advice / Alaska's Inter-Island Ferry Routes

Alaska's Inter-Island Ferry Authority has two Ferries. The M/V Prince of Wales and M/V Stikine. They only offer one route with a daily service on their website. Does someone know if there is another route beside Ketchikan - Hollis? And where do I get a timetable? I'm looking for a route from Wrangell to Coffman Cove, if there is? On their website they show thoes town as "their" ports but no route. http://www.interislandferry.com/route.html

On April 5th Viking line sold M/V Isabella

Viking Line Abp reached on April 5th an agreement with Hansalink Limited, a subsidiary of Tallink Grupp, regarding a sale of M/V Isabella. The transaction and the delivery of the vessel are scheduled to be completed during April 2013.

The sale of M/V Isabella is a planned part of the financing of Viking Line's new cruise vessel M/V Viking Grace. The total sales price will be approximately 30 million euros and results in a capital gain of about 23 million euros.

Does anyone have an Idea where she will be sailing?
Does anyone have some shots of her with the new livery?

I'm planning a trip to Belgium. And for sure I wanna include some ships.

1.) Does anyone have great spots (by car) to see Ships in Zeebrugge and Antwerpen?
Mostly I love ships on the move... ;-)

2.) Is there a website where I can find on which day which ship is in port?
Mostly interested in cruise ships.

Need some help:
Does anyone have the news what's happpening with the Akademik Shokalskiy. I read some rumours that she was kicked out of the charter from Aurora Expeditions. She isn't on their website anymore and some cruises out of Murmansk have been cancelled because of problems with her previous cruise through the northeast passage in northern russia which had been planned taking place right now. Now I belive she is in Wladiwostok.

Any recent pictures of her?
Any problem during a cruise?
Any idea where she is right now?
Any Idea what are her future plans?

I just read that the Papenburg built MV Apollo will be retired in march 2013 by the canadian owners of Woodward Group. She ran the Strait of Belle Isle run from Blanc-Sablon to St. Barbe since 2008.

Does someone know which ship will replace her?

Help and Advice / Webcam Panama Canal

Hi all,

I will be cruising the Panama Canal later this year, and I find it cool to get the webcam pictures of my own crossing of the canal. As I'm clearly not Online at that time, it would be very dificult to get them. Does someone know a way to get the pictures later or download the whole day/hour??? Or even better: Is there a way to write a Batch File or Somwething to get all the pictures from a certain time for about two hours. I will have internet access from the ship, but couldn't stay with the notebook all the lock-time. Who could... ;-)

Any suggestions wil be appreciated.

After two years as a floating hotel in Australia, the Hurtigruten-Ship MV Finnmarken will in 2012 be reinstated to the regular service along the Norwegian coast. The ship is currently being overhauled in Singapore. Starting Service again around 16 February between Bergen and Kirkenes.

I would love to see some pictures of her during the docking-time and her voyage back to norway.

Does someone have pictures from the current Locations of those two vessels:

MV Akademik Shokalskiy (IMO: 8010336)
Currently sailing in the Sea of Okhotsk heading south.

MV Quest (IMO: 8913904)
Sailing from Iceland to northern europe, maybe Oban or Helsingborg.

Detailed Pictures are very welcome. Including the hull, if in drydock in the next few weeks.

Tonight starts the NRK. no direct show of the hurtigruten-route along the coast of norway.
It will be a very very long show, direct from the ship MV Nordnorge.

The expedition cruise vessel PROFESSOR KHROMOV should be currently in dry dock near Christchurch, NZ. She is in the port of Lyttleton at Starks Engineering.

Someone got some pictures of her?
I'm especially interested in the Hull under the waterline and inside shots.

Does someone know if the Lybov Orlova still is in St. John's? Just saw a picture from february, 12th (thanks to Dean's page). But she is not on AIS anymore. Any news on her next/same job as cruise vessel?

P.S.: On the Cruise North website she is still on schedule starting cruises on june, 30th out of st. john's
