The first mate and a crewman on a new Japanese chemical carrier are in critical condition after a tank-cleaning accident.
The 20,000-dwt chemical tanker Shamrock Eagle (built 2007)Korean chief officer King Sung Ming, 41, and Filipino rating Emilio Angel, 30, have been hospitalised at Iquique, Chile.
Local media say the two inhaled sulfuric acid while cleaning tanks on Sansho Kaiun
