Hello Umi (do you still view the Subpirates board?)

As for real merchant ship modelling and scratch building, I'd say the Debris Field is the best! There are few members there at the moment, but I'm sure that's just because it's not so widely known. Up till now the main subjects were Ocean Liners, but there are some tankers underway too, including my LNG Excel (Scratch built). So if you want to exhibit your models, maybe you can send them to Russel Wild (administrator of that site) and he'll be happy to put them up. THey also have tugboats and older subjects.

For Submarines there is Subpirates and of course the widely known Subcommittee.

For all matter of ships there is the www.modelwarships.com. They do all types of ships including merchant vessels. (although the title says differently, but that was mainly because modelships.com was already taken)

Hello,
I've sailed on those Hellesponts, well, last year they were sold. They are 442,000dwt and 509,000t full load. I've posted some pictures of Ti Europe, which is the ex-Hellespont Tara.
There were 4 of them, all sold in August 2004. Now they sail under Tankers International.
I don't know why Hellespont sold all 4 of them at once.
It was reported that Hellespont had ordered a new 4,000,000 barrel ULCC (for comparison, the Ti/Hellespont ULCCs are 3.2 million barrels). So basically a new 510,000 dwt one would be possible if it's this ship? But I'm not sure where they ordered it.

At the moment I'm building a Queen Mary 2 (Revell kit) and a Ti Europe (1/700 Scratch build attempt) along with Pyotr Velikiy (Trumpeter 1/700) and Admiral Kuznetsov (1/700 Trumpeter).

Hello, just new here.

Have you checked http://supertankers.topcities.com/index.htm ?
It's a great site with many many pictures and some are in Dry Dock. If I recall correctly it has a dry dock picture of the Titan Neptune VLCC (just one note, plenty more there).
