Dry-dock workers don't do everything on a ship during refit.

The Sandering just departed St. John's Newfoundland and her destiantion is Gibraltar, ETA Feb 5, 2011 at 1100hrs UTC

Not sure about the ice in the straits, I haven't been talking to my father or father in law who are both working on her.

St. Barbe has too small of a harbor for the bond, thats why they are using Corner Brook.

The Sir Robert Bond has atarted the Straits run. The Bond arrived in Corner Brook last evening after departing Blanc Sablon, Quebec that morning. The Bond is replacing the Apollo while the Apollo is in St.John's for refit

According to the Canadian Coast Guard website, construction is due to begin in 2013. A request for proposals to undertake detail desgin work will likely be ready mid 2011, according to the Canadian Coast Guard website

The Caribou is at the lay-up dock right now. The Blue Puttees is at the Alternate dock. I haven't heard if there are plans to move the Caribou.

Totally agree with you Gulfspan. We can see what she can handle just this past week. The Smallwood out operating and where was the VISION, tied up at the dock. She can handle the seas alright, what a joke. I also agree she should go back where she came from

You won't bore me, the Caribou and the Smallwood are / were the workhorses of the fleet and no ship they get will do what they did.
