Post by: Robert J Smith on January 14, 2019, 01:27:46 PM
QHM Portsmouth shows HMS Iron Duke departing tomorrow under tow of tug MTS VANQUISH @ 10.45. Anyone know reason/destination?

Hi,
Current AIS from MTS Vanquish shows destination as Plymouth - due 08.30 on 17th Jan.

Apparently she has been in semi-layup status as a training ship at Portsmouth, without a full crew (lack of manpower?).  So towage is relocating to Devonport would seem sensible.

Just left Portsmouth, as you say, destination Plymouth.
