Help and Advice / Problems with my photos.

I have a serious problem with either my pc or my camera and it is the following

After taking my photos and transferring them to my computer and editing them with the windows program, irfanview or picassa, the photos are stored perfectly and with the original color; however once I exit the file and open it to view my photos once more, they are in black and white even though the thumbnail shows them to be in color.

My camera is a Canon Power Shot SX530 HS.

Please, if you are so kind to guide me through this problem, I will be deeply grateful.

I don't know why, the photos I tried to put today have not been uploaded on the site.

Has there been any problem or technical failure?

The same has happened with the photos of other members, they appear as uploads but the photos are not displayed.
