Pieter, I give up. You do not take us seriously when reporting an issue. You just continue with your statements without offering any further examination into what we are reporting. I've tried both Edge and Chrome browsers and the result is identical.

I just did a test with your description at hand, and it do not function that way. Since you may be a moderator, you may have an other menu than the others. I can save the thumbnail only in jpg/jpeg format. So please check the set-up for any hidden changes. And the thumbnail saves as a smaller image than the posted one. With all the comments from the community, an explanation from site admin. is REQUIRED.

The new design DO NOT present the photos into a paged system/archive, it makes it difficult to revert where you are in the achive when returning back from browsing ship details.

This functionality need to be restored (worked fine in the original version of shipspotting).

There might be a shuffle of ships. It is reported that CELESTYAL ODYSSEY is going to join her sister in Chinese waters and she will be braking her charter with Celestyal Cruises (ex Louis Cruises) at the end of this season in the Med. So for the spring they will bring in the current hotelship in the Shetlands, GEMINI and introduce her as CELESTYAL NEFELI and prior to that, she need a refit/prep. period. My hunch is that a ship like Island Escape can fill that role.

Atlantida, IMO no. 9434060, is reported sold to Hurtigruten and will be moved to Norway shortly. She has been lying idle since completed by her builder in 2009.

She has been given the project name "Norway Explorer". The intention is to rebuild her for service with the Hurtigrutens norwegian coastal service (Bergen - Kirkenes vice versa). She shall be ready to step in for Midnatsol when she is wintering in Antarctica and likely to be used for cruising  when not occupied in norwegian coastal service.

Ocean Endeavour (IMO 7625811) is to return to cruise business for a canadian operator shortly. She was previously rebuilt for expedition type cruises by operator Kristina Cruises.

Ocean Endeavour and Ocean Atlantic are originally russian sister ships and I think Ocean Atlantic is to take over the function as hotelship from Ocean Endeavour.

There is an article in the norwegian newspaper VG with pictures from the car-deck after the ordeal (the text is in norwegian only).

Apparantly a substential number of the cars onboard has suffered various kind of damages. This is contradictory to the press releases coming from the owner of the ferry, Smyril Line

I've just been on a roundrip to Iceland from Bergen (the last so-called Viking cruise this year) before she went to Blohm & Voss for service.

We,ve encountered rough weather both ways, but she is a sturdy vessel designed for the routes she traffic year round.

Eventhough there might not be a full passenger load in the winter time, she keeps a schedule an offer an alternative for motorists and freight (a lot of freight wheeled on/off both in Seydisfjoeurdur and Thorshavn), and she offer a weekend get-away for the Faroese with her late Thursday departure from Thorshavn with a return to Thorshavn the following Monday morning.

Among the first cruiseships that was lenghtened, was the Song of Norway and the Nordic Prince, two ships of the ever first trio of cruiseships that was delivered to the then newly established Royal Carribean Cruise Lines.

These two ships are still in use for other operators, no named Dream and Arielle.

The method was developed as a quick measure to increase capacity compared with building new tonnage, since the new mid-section is ready at the time the ship is sliced in two at the yard.

This method has also been used to increase capacity on a couple of ferries, among these Prinsess Ragnhild and Peter Wessel currently operated by Color Line.

Just for the record, there seems to be a demand for Mona Lisa. Maritime Matters reports on an swedish initiative established in Gothenburg with the purpose to aquire Mona Lisa and convert her to her former glory as SAL's Kungsholm (there are plans to restore her 2nd funnel and recreate her former balanced upper structure profile. One funnel was removed and one was enlarged when she was converted to Sea Princess by Princess Cruises). Furthermore, she is to be permanently moored in Gothenburg harbour and to be used as floating hotel, exhibition and convention centre.
