Hi,
Planning a trip to La Spezia, Italy later this spring. Is particularly interested in warships but also photographs merchant ships. Know someone where there are good places to photograph from in La Spezia. Has access to a car. Are there harbor tours in La Spezia?

Hi PerK, I've just came back from La Spezia, will upload some photos a bit later. There's a road going from the Arsenal towards Cinque Terre that offers very nice views of the entire bay, port and naval base included; second half of day is great because of the sunlight.
Cheers

La Spezia is quite difficult for ship spotting if no access to terminals area. The only good location can be used is a marina where traffic and shipyards line can be reached with an appropriate zoom. Several high locations available to spot harbor general overview, they are on mountain roads on both sides of the harbor.
