Hello Marc,

It is ineresting to know there are useful tools for non-Japanese.
By the way, the second one reads "KOUUN".
It measns "port harbour" in Japanese.

Best regards,

Hi Vlad,

Great report and photos in good weather with big new ships as always.

It will be a busy next year for me to go around those areas, because new container ships will come from Kure(ONE), Mihara(Yang Ming), Marugame(EVERGREEN),Saijo(EVERGREEN),Imabari(EVERGREEN, not big one but feeder).

I hope you will do the good job and may happen to meet in Japan.

Help and Advice / Re: Yokohama port advice
« on: August 09, 2017, 11:21:20 PM »
Hello astralclouds,

 I'm living in Yokohama.
The best view is to go near the terminal, but this area is far from the public transportations, like train or bus. So it is hard to go there for the people working there.
Of course, you can take a ride on a taxi, it costs at least JPY5,000 for one way. Those area is an industrial area as Vlad mentioned, so you have to make taxi wait to go back the city, and it costs double for a taxi.
If you want more question, please contact me a message to me.

Hi all,
It's my website(http://shipbuild2.exblog.jp) and those names from Taipei to Tahiti are only my speculation as mentioned.
I sometimes visit Imabari shipbuilding Hiroshima Shipyard for taking photos, so I can find the chosen names later.

Thank you for your information about L-205.

I'd like to know whether she is larger than Emma & Estelle Maersk or not...

15
It is reported that L-205 will be delivered January 2007.
And she will be christened late this year or early in 2007 as "Eleonora Maersk".
