Actually that looks better than modern cruisers.  Maybe it's safe to rent a room/cabin there rather than go on a cruise?

Those Koreans are way ahead of things, getting prepared already for sea level rise from global warming.

Am I the only one that noticed that Jens cracked a funny?

Koreans do have a fetish for houses built to look like ships - I've seen dozens of them - but this really tops them all...;)

For complete authenticity , shouldn't there be lifeboats?...which they could have used for 'private pods'

That's what Giglio thought it was getting.

Gives a new meaning to "steerage class".

WOW ... even huge windows below *waterline* ,, or much more appropriate, is to alternatively use the expression *air-line*.

That's indeed a very unusual *thingy* ... I truly believe that it should be an unforgettable experience to be there once  !

In 1977, shipyard Viktor Lenac, Rijeka, Croatia converted the passenger ship STELLA POLARIS into a stationary 5-star hotel for MARRIOTT HOTELS - USA.
The converted Stella Polaris i.e. 5-star Hotel Stella Polaris was towed from Rijeka to Kuwait.
In Kuwait, it was placed perpendicular to the shore & deeply beached into the sand.
The surrounding beach sand was in level with the ship's original waterline where also the main entrance to the Hotel was provided.
Only the tip of the ship's bow stem was touching the sea water !
Around the ship/Hotel were then planted exotic greenary & palms and were also provided outside swimming pools creating a luxury outside resort for the Hotel guests.

best regards /jadran

PS
In my wide photo collection I have a photo of the converted STELLA POLARIS, seen prior to her departure/towage from VLS and Rijeka to Kuwait.
I have still to scan this photo and in due time I shall post it onto the site.
