Title: Database error: to many connections

Hi i've had this message and unable to access the site the same time the last three mornings. (8am UK time)

Is it my end or more a capacity issue with the server?

I had the same problem yesterday and today I cannot open the Category Quicklist, which is a problem that has been here before.

I was not able to visit the website yesterday (1st April) whole day and today (2nd April) untill 14.00 h.
Seeing the number of pic's uploaded on both days, not all members had this problem.
The message "Database error: to many connections" I do receive each day in the morning around 09.30 hours for years now.
I would like very much that the webmasters give some information about this message.

Same thing happening this side (Eastern Canada). Seems to be more of a regular occurrence....?

Had also reports from Oz that "too many connections" has been very persistent lately, and have asked Henrik what is going on.  Drop-downs in Advanced Search also not working and reported.

I had the same problem today from early morning till around 03:00 p.m.

Yes, it has already happened to me about 4 days ago, around 10 o'clock at night, and that is the time I visit the page the most.

The problem with the dropdown menus at least is a problem with hackers last night - the menus should be regenerating at least soon.

Not sure if the server busy problem has the same cause.  Don't forget to clear your cache before retrying.

I'll post more here when I can.

Front page and Advanced Search menus seem OK now.
