If I would own such a company as Allseas I would also name my largest ship after the name of my father. And I would be very proud of my father.
Who gave the name to your children? You and your wife and noone else. If some netherlad people think they need Gerbrandy on a ship as name they can christen a navy ship or the royal yacht.
in Germany we say: thisone who pays for something has the power.

@ Pieter Melissen:

I good idea not to take a photo of the ship, very consequence. More consquence would be to change your first name !
I really hope you will never drive on a german autobahn with your caravan. I think then it will better when Heereman will move to a german harbour and spend there the money.
I wrote somewhere Dutch companies sold equipment for 450 mio

Trip reports / Re: Shipspotting in Rotterdam/ Europoort
« on: December 13, 2014, 10:27:19 PM »
Hi Bjoern,
no chance. Look at the threat some minutes before. For ROTTERDAM YOU NEED DEFINITELY A CAR:
Maasvlakte container Terminal and the others are 30 km km downtown away.

Shipping News and information / Re: Ship photography from Maasvlakte

Dear Derek,
o.k. when Mr. Mc. Alpine is sitting on the cross bar you are  1/2 in the wind shadow. You can dope with 2 Heineken and Mr. Mc. Alpine will be punished because of overloading a bicycle.
See you 2015 !!!!
Greetings
Peter

Dear Derek,
as an old friend from you I told my wife that I have to help to solve your large problem. I drove yesterday to Maasvlakte:
First I count the exact distance. I can confirm it is exact 21.8km from Maasvlakte ferry terminal to Massvlakte where the snak bar is.
My car and I had no problems with the wind. We need 15 minutes!!!

My first solution for you:
you have to execise more! Every second day at leat 20 min. As in England it is always rainy so do it in a Gym. I think 20 min. spinning is enough !!
Im Spring you go for 10 days in a training camp to Mallorca. But pay attention to the Germans who block their sun lounger with their towel!

So you can do it with the bike.

Against the wind: you can found British Shipspotting bike racing team. Look for young followers like Mc. Alpine. So you can drive in the wind shadow. To learn it I can recomend TV look in Spring at home from your coach. For learning I can recomend Tour de France or Giro d'Italia.
Please pay attention on the outfitting of your team. Please lerarn the lesson from the teams fron Tour de France. You have to look like them !!!!!!!!!!!!!

On 1/3 of the way is the new truck restaurant there can you have a brake and a rest. But pay attention doping with Heineken is not allowed. There are doping controlls from the police.
Doping is no solution !!
You can have 2 rests: to and back from Maasvlakte. Please pay attention on Saturday and Sunday I think it has closed!

the other solution is an e- bike so you can drive comfortable.

or you look for a netherland shipspotter (-in) with a car which will help you. Or the other way I will say you when I will be next time here so I can help you
I think the ferry is closed Saturday and Sunday. Today there was a messenge closed from 15.12.2013- Mid. of Februars 2014. No newer one. But today I haven't seen a ferry.
Greetings Peter

--no photographers--- no photos - no shipspotting site !!
--
@simominwp what is your contribution to this site? from you no one can delete a photo because there is no ! so don't write about things you can't imagine !
Oh I remember you do something with dia's and what is with the photos of the last 10 years? where are they? you can post them,  in 5 hours 100 pictures no problem !
This started with a thread (where is this thread gone?) picures from Berge Stahl were posted and suddenly deleted.
The picture were out of the standard for this site but they were UNIQUE.
If the pictures were from a ship which is here 100 times no problem delete and throw it away.
But this were the only pictures from this theme.
Everyone must expect that the admin see the impotance of the pictures and let it in as long there are no better ones.
That is the fact.
And now all throw dirt on the photographer. We will loose another top photographer ( I have learnt this is only for the amount of pictures) with 2.000 pictures but obviosly all this picturese are very good..
Simonwp and the others do you step into the breach and posts 2000 pictures of such an interesting area as Rotterdam? Or do you have perhaps a better area?
This is not the only site for a photographer to publish his pictures there are a lot of others. The photographers don't need shipspotting.com but shipspotting.com neede the photographers.

Hi all
In Samesfjord Norway east of Veidnes near Honningsvag  and on MT i see many times tankers laying near together.
Some days ago the KAPITAN GOTSKY and the MINERVA ELEONORA.Last week I could see the NS Concept coming from Wilhelmshaven and Fawley laying near the Timofey Guzhenko which has as destination port Murmansk.
What sense makes this? Brings the NS C. oil from North Africa to this place and then they disembarkt the oil to the T.G. and she will bring the oil to Murmansk. Why disembark the NS C the oil not herself in Murmansk? Will the NS.C load norwegian oil for the south? somewere?
Questions on questions.
Thanks for the help.

hello,
I agree with Andreas, show the latest uploaded pictures. This is the best overview of this site and every time you are on the site you see automatically good various shots and can comment them if you feel a need. By this way you comment good shots on the spur of the moment! and not because it is your friend.
For the people who think there is a need of a kind of competition count only hits from this site no linked hits !!!!!!!!!!and show 3 pictures top of the week and on christmas top of the year.
greetings Xylad-Peter
