with the recent visit of the US carrier now over, the one thing that interests me is why was the product tanker Rossini and Mozart always moored along side? Would anybody what they were loading or discharging from Carrier, Maybe it as obvious as jet fuel, but they seemed to be always alongside.

On previous occasions I have seen tankers alongside large carriers anchored at Spithead/Stokes Bay.  I was informed that they carry 'waste' from the carriers for processing, often to Marchwood.

Best regards
