Auxiliary schooner DE WADDEN (251gt/1917 - IMO 5087352) effectively broken up ("deconstructed") in No. 2 Canning Graving Dock, Liverpool during March 2024. Bow and some parts taken to Arklow for preservation.
See https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/gallery?shipName=DE+WADDEN&category=61&viewType=normal

Irish patrol boats LÉ CIARA (P42, IMO 8119326) and LÉ ORLA (P41, IMO 8119338) departed Cork in tow of MULTRATUG 18 on 21/4/2014 for Bruges, ETA 25/4.  (LÉ EITHNE (P31, IMO 8208141) to follow, but no dates yet).

Wow, Lappino.  Your reports are always so impressive.  It's as exhausting following the episodes as it must be for you to make even half of your travel connections.

Hello winterlight
Apologies for coming to this very late.  Do you still have this interesting item?
If so, I will send a PM to a small number of active French members who seem particularly interested in naval vessels, to see whether they have any ideas or connections.
I too hope that this can find the right home...
David

PS - just tweaked the title - CALLIOPE was M713

Although I do not undersand much about it, before (and it seems overlapping with) the IVR/ENI numbering, there was another system - I thnk called the "Brand" which was seemingly more port related.  Is there an explanation of this system somewhere (in Dutch is fine so long as I can let Dr Google loose on it)?
Is it possible to "decode" these?  Were there ever registers for them?

For example, with an apparent port of registry of Amsterdam, this former Dutch barge has "795 BLIED 1929"
I suppose that 1929 is when she was built or registered, but I do not understand the rest: https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/3683365

Thanks for the noting that - I will tell the author that the format is erroneous.  Actually I think that it should be written 52°28'36"N 1°46'32"E, or in the decimal version 52.476667N 1.775556E.

I was surprised that no photos of this ship, whether as a wreck or earlier, had been posted on the site.

Member Mafioso has done some digging.  In summary
1944 built by Herd & Mackenzie, Buckie, Scotland as an MMS1-Class minesweeper and handed over to the Royal Netherlands Navy as Hr.Ms. MARKEN.
1957 Zeekadetkorps Nederland, Utrecht
1977 Stichting het Varend Museumschip, Muiden and converted to the 3-masted barquentine ELISABETH SMIT, for tourist voyages on the IJsselmeer, based at Muiden
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Amsterdam_sail_1990_4.jpg
10/2002 suffered severe damage at her berth in Muiden in a storm; wreck remained in situ, gradually deteriorating
12/2020 wreck demolished on site and removed.

There's a third Egyptian sister PORT SAID (IMO 5282586), here from the same angle: https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/2928620
It's a pity that cannot find more stern-end images

BISCAYA here is in the right colours for the ship's managers - that is the Fearley & Eger logo.
The "S" logo in https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/2780659 is presumably a charterer, or possibly connected to the Stang family that had a shipping company A/S Standard, associated with Fearnleys.

Thanks Geir.  OK, can see it now
Very fiddly way to get to "see more results", which was always visible before at the bottom of the dropdown.

Help and Advice / Re: Free register on internet for inland vessels?
« on: February 09, 2024, 04:34:30 PM »
@Pieter
Nothing definitive, but owner seems to have been Premicon AG, Bremen (the then owners of Viking Cruises), but I think that they went into liquidation in 2021
Aquatel seems quite possible - they have certainly been involved with Rhine cruise ships before.

CruiseMapper gives the operator as Rad Schiff Reisen, that specialise in "bicycle cruises" - aka Boatbiketours (currently weekly departures in season on a South Holland route)

..... and a name search seems now to only give the first six vessels of their choice.
And the +/- zoom now disappears when showing a vessel track.
