Apparently there was an engine room fire onboard Grimaldi's CRUISE AUSONIA (ex SUPERFAST XII). Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

Indeed.

Apparently the fire broke out on an overheated oily patch due to oil spillage from one of the vessel engines.

All 262 pax onboard where asked to follow emergency procedures, and be ready to evacuate ship in case of need. No evacuation was necessary, and the vessel was able to return safely to Palermo on 3 engines and at low speed (6 kn).
