Heading for a career at sea - Jack Ibbotson.
It's relatively rare to meet a young person these days who wants to go to sea for a living, many of them would prefer a nine-to-five job, with plenty of phone time . . .
But when we met young Jack Ibbotson a few months ago, and heard about his enthusiasm for, and ongoing pursuit of a career afloat, he impressed us - so here he is, at 16, with another year to go in the sixth form before hopefully finding a place at nautical college and and gaining the qualifications he will need to eventually take his place on the bridge . . .
