Shipping News and information / VTS in non-uk ports?

Hi, when in Rotterdam I read that the VTS communications are in English, but all the ones I heard were in Dutch. What do they usually use in non UK ports on VTS? thanks

In the UK possibly Southampton. I wouldnt go to Liverpool - not much sunshine and the ships are pretty small!!
Rotterdam might offer nightlife as well as fab shipping - Hoek of Holland or Massvalakte for sunbathing.
Gibralter might also be an option for ships and sunshine?

I am sure someone with more knowledge (Coatham where are you!!!) will reply soon but in the mean time I will add what bit I know.

She was a British Rail ferry who then became a floating night club. Sister Ship Tuxedo Princess. Able UK bought her and berthed her on the Tees then transferred her to the basin with the ghost ships. Before they closed the gate to drain it and scrap the Ghosts and Clemenceau they took the Tux out and berthed her on the river by the Transporter bridge. Since then she has been vandalised and taken on water and is in the sorry state seen in the picture.

http://www.sealink-holyhead.com/sealink/ships/siward/sol_tuxedo/home.html gives more detail and pictures of her in better days

According to the pdports schedule today they are all ''sailing'' on 1st June......lol. Presume they are just shufling around within the basin or something. If the cofferdam is almost complete they wouldnt be able to get out presumably
