A sad day for classic reefers as I have just spotted the classic ex Lauritzen reefer BRAZILIAN REEFER with an AIS destination of Alang .. RIP !

From my research I think they are all gone with one exception

The above reefer left Nakhodka on the Pacific coast of Russia over 30 days ago heading through the Japanese Islands bound for supposedly South Boat Shore ( Which is not a merchant ship port ?) with an ETA of 9/12/15
As of today there is still no sign of her on any website ? Any news would be very much appreciated

Liberty Steel has started to import steel slabs from Russia and Turkey to their river berth in the Usk. PATRIA (24000Dwt) is due to berth 16/11 .. Let's hope this is the start of many

Above Reefers both heading for Falmouth for lay up (unconfirmed) with ETAs of 5/8 1030am and 7/8 0800.
Looks like they may have had a reprieve from the scrapyard to continue trading next season ?
The 3rd sister ship Summer Bay dropped off AIS 36 days ago so not sure what she is up to. The 4th vessel in the series Summer Wind unfortunately went for scrap on the 10th September last year in Alang

Summer Meadow has left the lay up berth in the River Fal today and anchored NE of the port. Destination unknown hopefully not Alang !

After many months lay up in the Fal , the Summer Flower is about to head off TSFO leaving just one of the original four still laid up. The other two reactivated Summer boats are trading South America / Philedelphia
