Siitech : Shipspotting.com photos work now
« on: January 01, 2012, 05:05:34 PM »
Hi all,

For those of you using Siitech to track ships you will be happy to know that the link that shows photos from Shipspotting.com is now working. For many weeks now we could only view pictures from Marinetraffic.com.

Thanks to Henrik for fixing the problem.

Hi Thierry,

There are a few buttons at the top left. Look for the ones with 'chain links'. The first one is for viewing pictures of ships from Shipspotting.com and the second one is for MarineTraffic.com.

Click on the ship you are tracking and once selected, click on the 'chain link' and it will open a window with Shipspotting.com search index.

Hope this helps.

Well that seems to have buggered this statement:
This issue has already been explained several times during the last months. A search on this forum would bring more detailed replies. The answer is quite simple: absolutely no photos will be used commercially.

The ShipTrax application will simply show a very small thumbnail (never the real photo) which will be linked to the photo page on the site and driving more traffic to it. This thumbnail will includes photographer copyright information.

Hi Kelvin,

I'm not sure what you mean by the statement you made. Could you clarify?

Thanks,
