Closing Marine Rescue- Sub Centre
« on: November 25, 2011, 08:11:27 PM »
Some very interesting news for seafarers around eastern canada.Federal govt of canada are about to close their marine rescue sub-centre in st. john,s nfld./lab. All calls for assistance to be directed to halifax nova scotia.Any seamen, either fishermen, oil workers or commercial seafarers who are having difficulty or are in distress will not in my opinion have or get the time saving assistance required if needed because of this insane decision to draw back from the sea & be further inland from any & most likely tragedies that will occur. I,m mot a fatalist or an negative person in relation to this but am very worried about more human lives being lost to the sea because of this crazy decision in order to save a few dollars. Would appreciate comments .
