Karin Schepers

It would seem someone forgot to make a right hand turn last night.
According to the BBC news, Karin Schepers ran aground off the Pendeen lighthouse early this morning (05:00 BST).
If you look at her track on Marine Traffic, you can see she crossed the Irish/Celtic Sea but seems to have failed to turn to enter the southbound traffic lane and ploughed on ahead to the Cornish coast.
The ship freed herself and nobody was hurt. (except some pride, no doubt!)

It is really amazing her course in Marinetraffic. It seems to me that this has something to do with the modern electronical navigation and some lack of watch. It remembers to me the K-WAVE grounding in Malaga coast last february. It would be interesting to hear some opinions of qualified members .Regards
