Huelin Endeavour

Hi all

Huelin Endeavour has not been on the Southampton - Channel Islands run since 21 December.  She is currently berthed on the Parkkade at Rotterdam.  Anyone know why ?

Hi all

I decided to phone Huelin so mystery solved. It appears they have cancelled the charter for the winter and are now only operating a 1 boat service through the winter.  So I guess she is laid up.  May be she'll return to Huelin service in summer 2012.

I'd noticed her on AIS going up channel during the weekend (a long way off her usual track) and wondered the same.

Huelin Endeavour seems to be running out of Warrenpoint, still in Huelin Renouf colours.

Wander if this is temporary or permanent.

Hi John

Huelin have got rid of Huelin Dispatch, she sailed for Norway last week and the service is currently being operated by Jan-V.  I think Endeavour will return to resume a two ship schedule for the summer months.  Whether they will purchase a replacement for Dispatch remains to be seen

Huelin Dispatch out on Time Charter, Jan V covering currently.

Huelin Endeavour due back on island route start March.

yes The Huelin Endeavour has been running between Avonmouth ( Bristol ) & Warrenpoint twice a week, she is said to be doing this route until around Mid april and then returning the the Southampton run soon after. She was layed up in Rotterdam and did a trip to Hamburg to collect 2 loads of empty 40foot containers!

At present we are in avonmouth with 2 more trips to do and weather permitting we will finish here on sunday 14th april. And yes it is a lousy wet day here.
One other comment to make is it was 5 trips in 14 days. So no time off for good behaviour.
