Atlantic Hawk
« on: April 04, 2011, 07:36:10 PM »
I have been following the Bulk carrier Atlantic Hawk around the world for about 6 months, last port being Santos Brazil which she left on the 10th march destination China.
Last report position was 24 days ago, would this be normal as i expected her to show up off S Africa by now.Her ETA China was 14th April.
:-o ...

hi james

by the distance that would be normal. If the master took a  more southern route, than he will stay away from South Afrika. I assume you look for AIS, if he stays only 100 plus nm away from there, then he does not pop up. Next you should possible see her again when transiting the Malakka Strait. Aso, some Masters also switching AIS off,,which sometimes if not a bad thing anyhow

NOW!!!,,,if we could get rid of the sailors,,how safe shipping would be !!!!!!!!
