HMS BULWARK London visit
« on: March 15, 2011, 05:53:43 PM »
Seawaves shows HMS BULWARK (L15) due at Greenwich on the 16th March.

Two naval vessels in a week, whatever next?

With HMS Daring in Southampton overnight and HMS Cattistock due to leave Spithead for "World" (Southampton VTS), I think the answer to the question of "Whatever next" must be nothing.
There will be nothing left!

Hi Bob/all,

Does anybody know if she actually arrived, and if so for how long will she be there?

If this enveloping grey misty weather goes away I might head down there of a lunchtime.

Best Regards
John J.

The Royal Marines from HMS Bulwark put on a fantastic demonstration at Greenwich on Thursday 17 March. However local news reports one of the LCAC Hovercraft crashed into Blackfriars Bridge tearing the skirt making it unable to steer and had to be rescued by fast RIB's.

I did hear tell in the office that some small hovercraft had been seen rushing past. But how the hell did one manage to crash into Blackfriars Bridge? Its quite easy to see. Maybe not quite so impressive!

Hello and welcome.
Exact departure time is not known, however, PLA Tide Tables website shows a high tide around Woolwich of 02.16 and 14.44. Hope this helps.

regards
Steve
