Thursday morning

OSMAN GAZI and ORHAN GAZI arrived Marmaris overnight from Libya.
SAMSUN passing Crete southbound this morning
MARIA DOLORES and SAN GWANN delayed at Tripoli by heavy seas
HELLENIC SPIRIT and OLYMPIC CHAMPION arriving Iraklion from Benghazi later this morning

Chinese sources add that an Italian ferry has also been chartered and that "two cargo ships and several ferryboats operated by Chinese companies that happened to be in nearby waters".

HMS CUMBERLAND not yet granted permission to enter Benghazi for UK citizens.

India said a 1,000-capacity passenger ship had arrived on the Libyan coast to transfer passengers to Egypt (NISSOS RODOS?)

The Italian ferry supposed to be chartered by China could be the CRUISE ROMA (54000grt) in theory able to lift more than 3000 persons...

Evening - not much to report

Bad weather continues to hamper rescue voyages
Looks as if Turkish SAMSUN did not go on to Libya yet but anchored in Kissamos Bay, western Crete, yesterday.
Now seems that OZMAN GAZI-1 and ORHAN GAZI-1 did not return to Libya, but have remained at Marmaris.
The ship chartered by Brazilians not able to get into Benghazi.

But reported that MARIA DOLORES and SAN GWANN now departed Tripoli - due Malta tonight and will return to Tripoli.

German frigates RHEINLAND-PFALZ (F209) and BRANDENBURG (F215) arrived Valletta and BERLIN (A1411) standing off.

MARIA DOLORES has sailed Valletta for Tripoli; SAN GWANN following (correction: first voyage of SAN GWANN apparently chartered by construction company Schlumberger, not US Government).

HMS CUMBERLAND arrived Valletta, and due to sail for Tripoli
CRUISE ROMA arrived Valletta

EL. VENIZELOS arrived Heraklion last night
HELLENIC SPIRIT and OLYMPIC CHAMPION due to sail Benghazi today

Italy evacuating from Misurata with naval ships FRANCESCO MIMBELLI (D561) and
SAN GIORGIO (L9892)

ISKENDERUN and another (ANKARA?) sailed Benghazi this morning for Marmaris.  SAMSUN now sailed Kissamos Bay, Crete (where sheltering) for Libya.

Russian chartered Montenegro ferry SVETI STEFAN II (probably, though could be SVETI STEFAN) sailed Bar via Bari for Ras Lanuf

Dutch frigate TROMP is off Libyan coast to assist evacuation but no report of port call.

The three German warships also still at Malta

India's SCOTIA PRINCE due in Libya tomorrow, to ship to Alexandria.

Syrian cargo vessel SOURIA interrupted Med voyage to call at Benghazi and sailed today with Syrians for Lattakia; EUROPA PALACE has been chartered from Greece and believed to have left Igoumenitsa for Benghazi.  Also an untraced vessel "AL-ASSAD" heading for Libya.
