Canadian Crews are hard to come by, Canadian ships are harder to come by. It is common practice to charter in extra tonnage.
Also we have a serious Dry Docking shortage in Eastern Canada.
Its time for Canadians to get the government on the ball and inform them, that there is more to shipping and ship building that a few navy and coast guard vessels. We have an ageing Fleet of Canadian flag vessels in our commercial fleets which are hurting.
