That is not a concept, it is the JSS (Joint Support Ship) Hr.Ms. KAREL DOORMAN, currently being built by the Damen Schelde yard for the Dutch navy, with completion due in 2015. The Canadian navy was also supposed to order this design, but they pulled out...

It seems that the Blue Puttees is under going some type of exercise, un-docking docking.

Does anyone know for what purpose?

I think the crew from the Caribou is on her now just getting used to her.  I am crossing on the vision on Saturday I will ask around that crew to see if I can get any info on her.

Proably just trying to get a feel for her..could be two to set up that thrid bow thruster..bearing clearances and all...

most likly feel ..Port aux Basques harbor is a place where a Captian gets one shot to park it or something gets broke..

It does look like the Stena seabridger vessel alot, and most likely on the same platform (Fosen Optima design).  Thanks for sharing.

Stena Traveller in dry dock, already cut and joined, 3 decks added as well. As by today still only temporary welding done. Lloyd Werft is looking to complete ths one by 3rd of Feburary (hahaha).

Blue Puttees still in LW, there was only one day sea trials, as far. She is about to sail to Canada soon, noone knows when, but it seems to be finished in most areas.

Lloyd Werft did well with the Blue Puttees. It seems that there is only the interior work to be finished. Her delay in departure for Canada night be due to the severe weather in the Atlantic.

If the shipyard does as well with the Traveller I believe that all parties will be pleased.

I guess delays was mainly because of Lloyd Werft who didn't let proceed subcontractors or failed to own schedule. Current one (for traveller) is I guess much, much less realistic to achive. 3rd of Feb (nice joke) All in all, some pictures below:
