They are nice boats Gulfspan.
Can't wait to see what the Caribou and Smallwood look when you make them.

I got line drawings for Caribou..initial ones I believe(August 20-1981) as they dont show the stern thrusters ,datum and knuckle lines are there ..the bow rake as well..water line and screw position.

When i get to it..she will be 1-100 scale ..making her 179cm L and 25cm W..with full rc function I'll have to raise the water line 10mm from the drawings..rudimentary math i did suggest she can weight no more than 56lbs to her scale size..a ship almost 6ft long, this would be near impossible and still have room for electronics and batteries.main motors are a pound and bit a piece..another 10 mm will work and hardly be noticeable

I will get to it ..just have to plan it ..early projections already have her at near $1500 dollars its the knick knack's and electronics that will run her into the $2000 mark easily..I estimate 800-1200 hrs to complete..

Lots to do still..
Been pondering a fiber glass hull or just go plank on frame using Sinatra on the outer bulkheads and super structure ..

There's a few guys in Denmark writing code to allow for full command of propulsion and stabilization..the stabilisers would be a nice addition using helicopter gyroscopes..
This is where the code and a computer comes in ..

its all theory right now though

Hello Gulfspan,
Those are magnificent models you have. If you want to expand your range I have full scale GA plans of many vessel types from container ships (including the conro vessel of Polish Ocean lines) to tankers, and heavy lift ships. I collected the plans when I was working in shipping as agency/cargo superintendent  during the 1970

You have a PM Al

Id be interested in what you may have in Ro-Ro, Ro-Pax ,and Heavy lift barges

However ..If you Have some in the Stena Ice flavor ..

Ive a set of counter rotating 90mm props that need a vessel to go in ;)...That should work out to an 11-12 ft long unit..

I should have bought a house boat ,I could moor my fleet to the patio !!!
