Can't load Marinetraffic's "Itineraries History" pages
« on: July 27, 2010, 04:13:09 PM »
Hi,

For the last couple of week or so I haven't been able to load the "Itineraries History" page for any ship at marinetraffic.com.

For example, this is the link to a Dover tug (DHB Dauntless):

http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shipdetails.aspx?MMSI=232004784

The "Itineraries History" link is on the left under "Last Position Received".

Can anyone get this link to work? All I get is a default error page saying, "The requested service is unavailable."

At least that'll tell me whether its my computer or not!

Thanks very much for that, Bob - everytime I've tried one of the links in the last couple of weeks I've had the nagging thought that I've mucked up my computer settings (again).

I should get a good night's sleep tonight!

Thanks, Ken. It was the fact that it had gone on for so long that bothered me - but I'll rest easy now  :-)

Possibly this has to do with a request from dutch Skippers (Inland Shipping).
They protested vs MarineTraffic, because the detailed info in Itenary History.

The Itenary History gives information the Skippers don't want to be public
for charterers.

Maybe MT is looking how to separate seagoing ships and inland shipping within the MT website.
