Sometimes I will post a photo and within a day or less it will have several hundred hits.  Most of my photos might get 10 or 20 hits over a day, so how can a photo get so many hits in such a short period?

I just wondered if some of the hobbyists had set it up to notify them and many others when something they were interested in was posted.

I have experienced the same and we discussed a bit about it. Morelikely counter jumps to fast.Noticed more hits than users online a few times!

Sometimes a photo gets linked or embeded onto another ship enthusist site which would increase the hits a bit?

One of my photos when from 0 to 97 in 5 minutes, its up to 2100  :-o
