Motor Yacht OSPREY

Just discovered that the M/Y OSPREY was the former IMS, HMS CHILLINGHAM. There was confusion about her original name as all the Yacht Sales websites she was listed on, had her built by BOLSON (Poole) UK in 1953. She wasn't !!! This was confirmed by her last owner and the Shipbuilders who carried out her last refit. She was built by McLean & Sons.

(My thanks to Lloyds of London for giving me the correct info)

Does anyone have a large photo of her ?

Well good luck wit your quest to obtain a photograph - must be one out there somewhere  :-D

Of course Chillingham caight my eye as it is a place up here in Northumberland - Chillingham Castle, reputed to be the most haunted castle in the UK!!!!!

Yeah, I spotted that when trawling through GOOGLE looking for info.

All that kept coming up was the Haunted Castle over and over again. WWWWWWHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO...  :-D

I own the original ship's bell for HMS Chillingham.  If you are interested I could photograph it for you.  I beleive it was originally a mine-sweeper.  Sadly I have no photos of the ship.
