Samskip Express not under command
« on: September 30, 2009, 10:31:19 AM »
I checked the position of the samskip express and she appears in the english channel not under command. 0.07 knots. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Could be work on the engine. Have done that several times before. We just put NUC to alert ships around us that our engine is not running.

Perhaps they are just wasting some time before proceeding to Zeebrugge, or indeed are 'pulling a unit'.
Why did you try to call the ship?

I used to work on this ship. I called to see whats happening? Its supposed to be in zeebrugge for 9am 1st october. She then leaves zeebrugge at 9pm for rotterdam! Thats her usual roster! If we were ahead of time we would sail at 12 knots to waste time rather than arrive early and drop anchor.

Indeed.
