G'day Cawky,

I just edited the posts name for you :-D

It could be general maintenance? I see the people working on the bow door of the SPoT's 1 and 2.

Hi Brian

Sounds mechanical! - this is from the DFDS site @ http://www.dfdsseaways.co.uk/CUSTOMER_SERVICE/DELAYS_AND_CANCELLATIONS/Delays_Cancellations

Unfortunately m.s. Princess of Norway is currently delayed into IJmuiden (Amsterdam).

Further updates to follow tomorrow, 21.08.09.

DFDS Seaways apologise for this delay

Regards

Hi Brian

I see her schedules are still all out of kilter - didn't she have problems with her bow doors last year which drastically cut her service speed?

We'd only work on the bow doors in Devonport if there was a problem, routine bow door maintenance is done in Melbourne, stern doors in Devonport.  Thankfully there haven't been any major issues with the SPoT bow doors, just a few things need tightening up every once in a while.

There havend been delays anymore, Butt i still wonder why they keep swinging her around? after arrival she swings around and i see her with the ramp down and before embarkation she swings again to use only the back so i figure there is still a issue with the bow doors or the ramp!?

They must be still working on the bow doors.Though she did not swing around on Thursday as I was working down by the river all day , I did see her leave and I did hear her call for help as she was passing the fish quay as someone had a stroke and was unconscious .See this thread:-
