Greenpeace hijacks bulk carrier at Tauranga, New Zealand

Greenpeace activists this morning, Wednesday, 16 September, hijacked the Hong Kong registered bulk carrier, East Ambition, iml 9187954 managed and operated by Sino East Transportation. The 28,378 dwt vessel is carrying palm kernel from Indonesia and at the moment is at sea off the entrance to Tauranga harbour with the situation unresolved.
