AIDAblu to be christened at Hamburg

The latest addition to the fleet of Aida Cruises, AIDAblu, at the time under construction at Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, will be christened at Hamburg on February, 9, 2010.

AIDAblu will have around 71,100 gross tons, a length of 252 m, beam 32,20 m. Hence she's slightly larger than her fleetmates AIDAdiva, -bella and -luna.

(Think I should start knitting some warm socks soon... :-D )
