G'day!

Not good at all!!! I saw on the news, the a section of beach was completly black from the oil spill. :-o

The news report stated PACIFIC ADVENTURER lost 30 tonnes of fuel oil causing a slick from Moreton Island to Noosa Heads on the sunshine coast. Most beaches in between are affected. Wildlife have also been affected. The ship is berthed in Brisbane. Authorities are still testing the slick to find out if all of the oil came from PACIFIC ADVENTURER or possibly another vessel as well.

Also Swire Shipping has been fined $1.5 million plus the clean up bill of approximately $1 Million.

Adventurer has been detained in the Port of Brisbane and Also leaked oil there as well

The oil slick as been classed as Queensland's worst environmental disaster
